Welcome to Golden Oak School
ALL owls S.O.A.R. to high levels of learning at Golden Oak Community School!  Opening our doors in 2008, our school has grown to serve over 540 students.  Golden Oak owls S.O.A.R., learning the academic and social behaviors: Self-control, On task, Aim high and Respect! Golden Oak faculty and staff work in collaborate teams as a professional learning community, ensuring an inclusive learning environment where ALL scholars reach grade level proficiency and higher on ELA and math essential academic standards.  The PLC process is focused on 4 questions which guide this ongoing, never-ending process of collaboration.  Questions: 1. What do we want ALL students to learn? 2. How will we know when they have learned it? 3. What will we do if they have not learned it? 4. What will we do if they already know it? We are thankful for our strong parents volunteers and community involvement thorugh PTA.

High expectations for learning and building strong relationships are essential at Golden Oak!  We are a National Showcase School for Capturing Kids' Hearts! We have a focus on positive affirmations and sharing good things across our campus.

I want to take a moment to encourage all of our community members to join our PTA today!  Because of the wonderful support of our families and community, our PTA continues to support our students.  PTA sponsors Fall Festival, Family Dance, Reflections Arts Contest, Yearbook Cover Contest, Fundraisers, Book Fairs, Family Restaurant Nights, Arts Enrichment, and technology for our students.  We couldn't do it without our families, so we give you our deepest thanks for all your fundraising efforts which make things like this possible at Golden Oak! 

I am thankful to the students, families, teachers, staff, and the community for all they do to make Golden Oak Community School such an amazing place for our students.
